About the Spoon Biscookie
The idea for a spoon shaped biscuit came from an observation that people
are self conscious about using a spoon to extract the remaining fluffy milk
from their empty latte’s.
Following several years of development and
assistance from food technologists Giusti’s launched the Spoon Biscookie
to the New Zealand market in 2000.
The Worlds first 3 dimensional edible
spoon won the “best grocery
product” at Sial d’or food show in France 2002. This proved
invaluable exposure to a world market.
The challenge has been to develop
a process with the efficiency to meet demand.
Relatively low in fat the biscotti type biscuit product also makes a healthy alternative to existing cookies.
